A hiker in the area of Vivian Creek Trail and Forrest Falls was rescued by the crew of Air Rescue 306 after falling

LOCATION: Vivian Creek Trail / Forest Falls, San Bernardino
VICTIM: Jennifer Craddock, age 54 a resident of Placentia
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 10, 2018, at approximately 2:30 pm, Sheriff’s Air Rescue 306 received information a hiker, later identified as Craddock, fell and injured her leg. Sheriff’s 40K1 was dispatched to assist AR306 in locating Craddock. 40K1 flew to the area where the latitude/ longitude from Craddock’s cellphone placed her. The crew of 40K1 located Craddock seated on the Vivian Creek Trail at about 9200’ with a non-life threatening injury. The crew of 40K1 provided AR306 with the location and description of Craddock and hikers who were assisting her.
AR306 arrived on scene and inserted medical personnel who assessed Craddock and determined a hoist would be necessary. Craddock was placed into a rescue harness and hoisted about 100’ to AR306. Craddock was then flown to waiting deputies and AMR personnel and then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
