Advisory

Flood Warning

Flood Warning until 430 AM for small streams and low-lying areas. Do not drive through flooded roads.

At 1036 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause flooding through the overnight. So far, between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen over the warned area, and between 1 and 2 inches of additional rain, with as much as 3 inches of additional rain, will fall.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
