Man Arrested for Multiple Assaults
Suffolk County Police last night arrested a man for assaulting five people, including two police officers, in Lindenhurst.
First Precinct officers responded to a report of an assault at South Delaware Avenue and Kansas Street at approximately 11:20 p.m. When officers arrived, they encountered Christian Perrone, who had earlier punched two men and one woman. When officers approached Perrone, he punched one of them in the face, breaking her nose. Perrone resisted arrest and struggled with a second officer, who suffered a broken finger.
The injured police officers were self-transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The three victims who were assaulted and Perrone were transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Perrone, 20, of 41 Palm St., Lindenhurst, was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, three counts of Assault 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip later today.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
