2018 TOUR DE HIGHLAND/GRIFFITH

The Highland /Griffith Chamber will be hosting a bicycle ride Tour De Highland/Griffith throughout Highland & Griffith on June 9th at 11:00AM. The event will start at the Wicker Park Pavilion and proceed EB on the Wicker bike path along Ridge. It will follow the Wicker Park path until reaching the tunnel in the 8300 blk of Indianapolis, where it will proceed EB on the Highland Bike Path. Upon reaching Grand Park, it will travel SB on the bike path. It will then follow the Bike Trail SB until reaching the rest station at Broad St in Griffith. Once reaching Broad st., it will turn around and follow the same route back to the Wicker Park Trail. Once inside Wicker Park it will follow the trail counterclockwise until reaching the end at the Pavilion. The riders have five different riding options: 1: once around the Wicker Park Trail (2.2 miles). 2: To 45th street and back (7.6 miles). 3: To Broad street and back (10.7 miles). 4: they can stop anywhere on the route and turn around. 5: On the return route at Laporte/Kennedy, they can continue EB to the Bike Path at Liable, turn north and ride along the river dike until reaching 5th, then SB to the Laporte Bike Path WB,* to return to Wicker Patk (15 miles).

Riders have been advised that this is an open event for vehicular traffic, and to obey all traffic laws and regulations
