Tomorrow, June 7th, personnel from the Police Department will be participating in the 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. This is an annual event with this year marking its 50th anniversary. This year, our runners will be handed the torch by the San Gabriel Police Department at Del Mar Ave and the 10 freeway at approximately 1:30 pm. Runners will then carry the torch south on Del Mar to Garvey Ave, west on Garvey Ave to south on Ramona Ave, south on Ramona Ave to west on Newmark Ave where the runners will pause to take photos in front of City Hall. Runners should arrive in front of City Hall between 2:00 -2:15pm. Runners will then continue west on Newmark Ave to Atlantic Bl. where the torch will be handed off to E.L.A. CHP runners.

We invite everyone to come out to show their support for our runners and support this very worthy event. This will be our biggest group of runners, approximately 20, to participate in this event. For more information on this event you can visit the link below.
