Employee of the Month
The Jackson Police Department is proud to announce Officer Johnathon McCrury as the "Employee of the Month" for the month of June. Officer McCrury has five years service with the Jackson Police Department and is currently assigned to the Street Crimes Unit. Officer McCrury is also a member of the Jackson Police Department's Bomb Unit.
According to Officer McCrury's co-workers, he always displays a great attitude when dealing with peers and the community he serves. He comes to work with a smile on his face and always maintains a positive attitude even in the toughest situations. Officer McCrury is one of the most proactive officers at the department. He completes all tasks with little assistance. He goes above and beyond on majority of the assignments.
During the month of March, a major case involving narcotics, weapons, and the apprehension of violent offenders was made because of Officer McCrury's dedication and attention to detail. Also, during the same month, Officer McCrury conducted a traffic stop and apprehended a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
Officer McCrury is a loving husband to his wife and a great father to his two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys riding mountain bikes.
