One injured in Truck/Tree crash
Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle traffic crash on 6-6-18 at 1550. The crash occurred on Hampshire Rd. west of Wilbur Hill Rd. in Cass County's Pokagon Township. Investigation showed that the driver of a Ford F150 pick-up, Patrick Allen (26 yrs of Dowagiac) fell asleep at the wheel. The truck left the roadway and struck a tree. Allen was transported to Borgess Lee Hospital via PrideCare ambulance. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and Allen was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation.
