UPDATE: With the public’s assistance, Forest City Police Department identified Jerry Tinsley as the suspect in the attempted robbery of 5/3 Bank in Forest City. At the request of Forest City Police Department, deputys from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Tinsley’s residence on Baber Rd. in Rutherfordton. Moments ago, deputys arrested Tinsley hiding in the woodline at his residence.

Original Message: Officers are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a bank robbery that occurred at Fifth Third Bank in Forest City. The suspect can be seen in the pictures below. The vehicle is a light gray or silver  Nissan Sentra with a dent on the back passenger side.
