The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Southeastern Washington County in north central Maryland... Northeastern Jefferson County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... East central Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia...

* Until 345 AM EDT Saturday.

* At 938 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Another one to two inches of rain is expected.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include... Shepherdstown, Ranson, Boonsboro, Williamsport, Mount Aetna, Mount Lena, San Mar, Harpers Ferry, Kearneysville, Saint James, Halfway, Keedysville, Bolivar, Funkstown, Sharpsburg, Shenandoah Junction, Fairplay, Rohrersville and Gapland.

* AFFECTED AREAS: JEFFERSON

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
