71 year old Highland man arrested for lewd acts with a minor

LOCATION: 7600 Block of Drummond Ave., Highland
SUSPECT: Jose Gallegos, 74 years old, resident of Highland
VICTIM: 40-year-old female
SUMMARY:
On May 19, 2018, Jose Gallegos was arrested for sex crimes commited on the victim approximately 31 years earlier. The victim lived with Jose Gallegos (family member) from the time she was 9 to about 18 years of age. The sexual abuse occurred until the time she was 16 years old.
Jose Gallegos was booked at West Valley Detention Center and is being held on $250,000 bail.
