* At 458 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest
of Rutherfordton, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
* Locations impacted include...
Forest City, Rutherfordton, Spindale, Bostic, Shingle Hollow, Green
Hill, Thermal City, Sunshine, Union Mills and Green Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned
