0839 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 48-year-old transient male on the 7300 block of Thornton Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1050 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated a vehicle vandalism incident on the 6300 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue.

1053 Hours: Officer San Pedro investigated a window smash auto burglary on the 34800 block of Newark Boulevard. The loss is two backpacks containing laptop computers.

1332 Hours: Officer Fredstrom responded to a disturbance on the 7300 block of Thornton Avenue. A 63-year-old transient male was contacted and arrested for public intoxication and subsequently booked into the Santa Rita Jail.

1558 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated a mail theft on the 8100 block of Meadowlark Court.

1707 Hours: Officer Lenz was patrolling the parking lot near Sears, NewPark Mall when he observed a Sears Loss Prevention Agent chasing after a theft suspect. The pursuit ended at the Chase Suites Hotel, 39150 Cedar Boulevard. The suspect, a 24-year-old Arizona male was arrested for shoplifting and obstructing a Police Officer. A 27-year-old Nevada female was also contacted and arrested for obstructing a Police Officer. Both suspects were booked into the Fremont Jail.

1917 Hours: Officer Wilkerson investigated a package theft that occurred on the 37500 block of Shelter Road.

2002 Hours: Officer Hunter contacted and arrested a 45-year-old Newark male for his outstanding warrants during a pedestrian stop on Birch Street at Ezra Drive. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

2115 Hours: Officer Palacio responded to Oliveira’s Liquors, 5650 Thornton Avenue for a theft in progress involving a drunken subject. A 34-year-old Newark male was arrested for disorderly conduct /being under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

2147 Hours: Officer Smith contacted and arrested a 38-yer-old Newark male for driving under the influence during a traffic stop on Cedar Boulevard at Thornton Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

2307 Hours: Officers responded to a disturbance on the 6200 block of Mayhews Landing Road. A 46-year-old Newark male was contacted and arrested for possession of a controlled substance and probation violation. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
