Deputies arrest 2 men for threatening school officials and possessing a firearm in a school zone

INCIDENT: Threatening School Officials and Possession of a Firearm In a School Zone
LOCATION: 14000 block of Cobalt Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Melvin Lesure Jr., 31 year old male resident of Fontana
Jisel Lee, 18 year old female resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Silverado High School Resource Officers
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., School Resource Officers responded to the 14000 block of Cobalt Road in Victorville following the report of a disturbance.
When deputies arrived, they learned the suspects, who were identified as Melvin Lesure Jr and Jisel Lee, drove to the location to retaliate on a student who fought their niece. Security intervened, and Lesure and Lee threatened and pushed them. Security deployed their pepper spray on Lesure and detained him while Lee and their niece fled toward their vehicle. Security detained all involved parties until deputies arrived.
A subsequent search incident to Lesure and Lee’s arrest located an electronic stun gun, pepper spray, and a loaded 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Lesure and Lee were booked into High Desert Detention Center for Threatening School Officials and Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone.
