JPD Announces New Police Officers Hired 
The Janesville Police Department announces the hiring of two police officers that started on May 29, 2018. The new officers are as follows.
Matthew A. Johnson
Officer Matthew A. Johnson is from Janesville, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminology. He will attend the Blackhawk Technical College police academy starting June 4, 2018. Officer Johnson most recently worked for the Brodhead Police Department as a Community Service Officer.
Garrett J. Olsen
Officer Garrett J. Olsen is from Milton, WI. He attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh working towards a degree in Criminology. He will attend the Blackhawk Technical College police academy starting June 4, 2018. Officer Olsen most recently worked for the Neenah Police Department as a Community Service Aide as well as a Community Service Specialist for the Janesville Police Department.
