Minor flooding along the Hiwassee River expected today through tomorrow. 
Due to the recent rainfall amounts, TVA has released their spill gates on Chatuge Dam which may cause minor flooding along the Hiwassee River. Residents and property owners along the river should remain aware and use appropriate precautions. TVA is not anticipating having to release the spill gates on the Hiwassee Dam at this time.
