Full Notification

Tonight around 9:26 PM, two juvenile males and an unknown female were standing around talking at San Andreas Park in Union City, near the 880 overpass.  A few minutes after they arrived there, the group was approached by three unknown males wearing red bandanas (no further description). All three suspects had handguns and they robbed the victims of some of their clothing, their cellular phones and money.  While committing the robbery, one of the suspects fired three shots, hitting one of the male victims in his lower left leg.  The three suspects were last seen running eastbound from the area on the creek trail. The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  His injury does not appear to be life-threatening.  The other male juvenile was located, uninjured at the scene.  The female victim has not been identified or located yet.  The names of the two juvenile male victims are not being released due to their ages.  The Union City Police Department is actively investigating this crime, and anyone with information should call us at 510-471-1365.
