COMMUNITY ALERT: PG&E holds community meeting on construction affecting Amphlett Blvd

The City of San Mateo and the San Mateo Police Department wants to inform our community of an upcoming PG&E gas main replacement project that will have traffic implications on Amphlett Blvd from Peninsula Av to Sunnybrae Blvd. The planned project is projected to begin on June 11th, 2018 and extend to October.

STAY INFORMED! PG&E will host an OPEN HOUSE MEETING: Tomorrow Wednesday, May 30, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Sunnybrae Elementary School, in room LGI, 1031 S. Delaware St. to discuss the project and its impacts to the community.

PG&E work will be done in phases and impacts may include rolling street closures along portions of Amphlett Blvd, one-way traffic controls and limiting street parking in the work area. The Poplar Avenue interchange at Highway 101 will remain open. PG&E’s construction hours are planned for Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be a few days requiring overnight work. The City is working with PG&E to ensure appropriate traffic controls are in place.

Please note, this project is part of PG&E's work to replace aging infrastructure as directed by the California Public Utilities Commission. If you have questions or concerns about the project, please contact your local PG&E representative Scott Hart: 650-598-7416 or email [email protected] http://pgeseeourprogress.com/bay-area/
