Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured two pedestrians in Ronkonkoma last night.
 
Two pedestrians were crossing Ronkonkoma Avenue near Division Road when they were struck by a 2010 Chevrolet SUV heading southbound at approximately 8:30 p.m. The pedestrians, Jennifer Wendal, 22, of Ronkonkoma, and Kevin Cruz, 19, of Ronkonkoma, were transported Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet, Joseph Livierieads, 23, of Bohemia, remained at the scene and was not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
