The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office urges residents to LOCK YOUR VEHICLES to prevent theft of your identity and valuables.  The IRS does not contact the public via telephone and ask for payment.  Please disregard these contacts as SCAMS.  Do not provide personal or financial information to ANYONE you don't know either through the internet and/or telephone.  Please contact law enforcement to report suspicious persons and behavior in your communities. An ounce of prevention goes a long way in keeping our communities safe.
