450 students representing fourteen public and private elementary schools were treated to an afternoon at Sky High Sports for their work as Safety Patrol Officers.
Sky High Sports, located at 2880 Mead Avenue, is an indoor-trampoline entertainment facility. Ron and Jerry Raymond, the owners of Sky High Sports, graciously partnered with the Santa Clara Police Department to host this private event for the Safety Patrol Officers.
While many 5th graders look forward to taking part in this rite of passage, many quickly realize that the job of safety patrol is not easy. It requires a great deal of commitment and responsibility to facilitate smooth and safe transitions at the beginning and end of each school day.
