Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

On May 20th, 2018 the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department responded to the Jimmy John’s restaurant located at 2020 8th Street South in Wisconsin Rapids for a reported Armed Robbery. Using surveillance footage from the restaurant, and additional surveillance footage we posted the footage to our WRPD Facebook page, Nixle Alert page and the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network. Because of that, we received information as to the identity of the suspect.
Yesterday, using the information gathered from the robbery investigation, the WRPD executed a search warrant on a residence in the 2500 block of 7th Street South. A 54-year old Wisconsin Rapids man was taken into custody.

The WRPD is referring charges of Armed Robbery to the District Attorney’s Office.
