On May 24, 2018, at around 2:33 a.m., Shawnee Police Department received a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at 40209 Wolverine Rd. The male subject in the domestic, later identified as Dakota Price, DOB: 12/17/1990, was armed with a shotgun and handgun. Officers encountered Price, who pointed the handgun at them. One officer fired, striking Price. Price was transported and is being treated at a hospital. No officers were injured. Shawnee Police Department requested OSBI investigate the Officer-Involved Shooting. Once the OSBI's investigation is complete, a comprehensive report will be given to the Pottawatomie County District Attorney's Office. The OSBI does not release names of involved officers unless they are charged with a crime.
