The Marietta Police Department and the Marietta City Schools are proud to announce that 698 children have been trained in radKIDS. The Marietta City Schools and the Marietta Police Department set a goal to improve the safety education of our school children. With the help of Gary Martin Hayes and Keep Georgia Safe, every Marietta City elementary school P.E. coach was trained in the radKIDS curriculum. This program has strengthened the safety and education of Marietta City Schools elementary school children.
radKIDS® curriculum topics include:
- Bullying Prevention Program: "Taught Through the Eyes of a Child"
- Preventing/Stopping Predator Tricks
- Physical Resistance Strategies
- Internet Safety
- Personal Touch and Personal Space Safety
- Home, School, Out & About Safety (Parks, Fairs, Playgrounds, Beaches, Stores, Malls) all Through the Eyes of the Child
It is the commitment of the Marietta Police Department and the Marietta City Schools to keep every child safe. The Marietta Schools and the Marietta Police Department will team up again next year to ensure that the new 3rd graders are taught how to safe.
