Open Registration for Women’s Self-Defense Classes
The Marietta Police Department is dedicated to protecting its citizens in every way possible. An important part of our mission is educating the public with our own certified instructors. One of the courses we offer is “Rape Aggression Defense” (RAD) which teaches empowerment and a simple yet effective self-defense course for women. The techniques taught are designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations on the attacker’s body. Our instructors teach women of all fitness levels various options to escape attacks. The RAD course is taught in (4) individual three-hour classes. Participation in all (4) classes is necessary to complete the course.
You must be at least fourteen years old to attend. Women fourteen to seventeen years-old must attend with their mother or other adult female. There is a $10 fee for each person attending the training. Class size is limited. Registration links are below.
