Roger Flores & John Holland, both of San Bernardino arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle

John Holland, 38-year-old resident of San Bernardino

SUMMARY: While on routine patrol, Deputy Fakhoury observed a 2014 white four-door Toyota Camry in the area Victoria Ave and Citrus Street in the city of San Bernardino with no license plates. He activated his emergency lights and siren to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Roger Flores. Flores and his passenger, John Holland, were detained without further incident. The vehicle’s VIN# was run through dispatch and returned as a carjacked stolen vehicle out of the city of San Bernardino.
Flores and Holland were both found to be gang members out of the San Bernardino area. Holland also had a No Bail warrant for absconding from his PRCS probation. Roger Flores and John Holland were arrested, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of a stolen stolen vehicle.
Holland was found to be on felony PRCS probation. Felony PRCS probation was created as a result of California Assembly Bill 109 (AB109). As part of Governor Jerry Brown's Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court Decision requiring the state to lower its prison population; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county probation.
