Rohnert Park Expressway Improvements Update Construction work on Rohnert Park Expressway week of May 21, 2018
Construction Work Continues Reconstruction of the eastbound lanes of Rohnert Park Expressway (RPX) between Snyder Lane and Petaluma Hill Road, will continue next week and is anticipated to be completed in August, 2018. To expedite construction, the City has modified the work hours to be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday. There will always be at least one eastbound lane open during construction. The westbound lanes will not be affected. There will be no construction work on Rohnert Park Expressway during graduation events being held at Sonoma State University this Saturday and Sunday. Jasmine Circle Residents: During this time Jasmine Circle will be closed at Rohnert Park Expressway. Jasmine Circle residents will enter and exit at Snyder Lane. Oak View Apartment Residents: The first phase of the project will not affect access at the apartments. In the second phase, heading eastbound from Snyder Lane, residents will be unable to make a left hand turn into the complex. Residents would either enter on Medical Center Drive or continue eastbound on RPX and make a U turn at the signal at Karrington or Kerry. Sonoma State University / Green Music Center: The first and second phase of the project will not affect access at the campus. In the later phase, when the intersection at RPX and Redwood Circle is being reconstructed, access to and from the Campus at Redwood Circle will be closed. A detour will be in effect guiding vehicles around the Campus via Petaluma Hill Road, Laurel Drive and/or East Cotati Avenue.There will be no construction work on Rohnert Park Expressway during graduation events being held at Sonoma State University this Saturday and Sunday.
