On May 19, 2018, at 8:00 am the “Leader of the Pack 5K” is scheduled to start and the race will be utilizing a number of the towns streets in and around Downtown Forest City. Those traveling at or near the race route should expect intermittent delays. We are asking the public to be mindful of the increase of walkers and runners along the parade route.
Race route:
The race will begin on Memorial Drive and progress eastward on Main Street to Alexander St, left onto Arlington Street, left on S. Magnolia St, left on West Main Street, right onto J Morgan St, left onto Trade St, right onto McNair Drive and finish in McNair Stadium.
As a majority of the Leader of the Pack race will be ran along Main, Arlington and Trade Streets, those wishing to avoid the race congestion should utilize Hardin Road, Oak Street, Old Caroleen Road and Riverside Drive.
