Handguns, rifles, shotguns, ammunition, primers and black powder turned in during Sheriff's Office's amnesty day. 
The Sheriff's Office appreciates our residents' participation in Thursday's amnesty day. Turned in at our three locations were 20 handguns, 12 shotguns/rifles, various types of ammunition, to include primers, and black powder.
Again, thank you to the Beaufort County residents, who dropped off the firearms and ammunition to ensure these items did not end up in the wrong hands. We will announce our next amnesty day well in advance.
