ACCUSED: Devinn K Davis 39-year-old Male // Long Branch, NJ

NARRATIVE:
On May 16th officers responded to the area of Target located in the Seaview Square Shopping Plaza for a shoplifting incident where the accused suspect left the store. As officers arrived on location they spotted the accused later identified as Devinn Davis who fled on foot through the parking lot. After his attempt to elude officers he was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing.

Further investigation revealed that Davis was also in possession of stolen property from a nearby business. During the booking process Davis became combative and attempted to fight officers ultimately kicking an officer and intentionally spitting salvia at officers and a first aid member. Davis was transported to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center and then to the county jail where he’ll remain until his initial court appearance.
