Man charged with strangling sister during dispute 
Detective J.T. Grindstaff of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Jeremy Howard Huffman, 30, of 138 Crabapple Drive in Marion, with assault inflicting serious injury and assault by strangulation.
On Wednesday, May 9, Huffman and his 28-year-old sister, who lives next door to him, got into an altercation.
Huffman assaulted the victim, broke her tooth and strangled her to the point of unconsciousness.
