"If I Were a Thief...You Would Now Be a Victim"

Rohnert Park Public Safety personnel have distributed hundreds of notices for our "If I Were a Thief…You Would Now Be a Victim" Community Awareness Campaign. As a reminder, Rohnert Park Public Safety personnel have been going into neighborhoods and parking lots throughout the City looking into vehicles for visible items that would attract a thief. If no items are visible, a "Great Job" notice is placed on the windshield. If items are visible, a notice is placed on the windshield identifying those items.

We are experiencing great results and we are continuing the campaign for a few more months. Please remember to keep your gym bags, purses, laptops, backpacks, tools and other items out of view or out of your vehicle. Remember to secure what is yours, lock your doors, and close your windows. Prevention will reduce this Crime of Opportunity.

If you have any questions, please contact Rohnert Park Public Safety Sgt. Astley at 584-2600.
