The Norton Shores Police and Fire Departments will be participating in a training exercise at the Muskegon County Airport today. The training will confirm the readiness of the Michigan National Guard to provide support to civil authorities in a realistic, constructive and simulated training environment. The Region Six Incident Management Team along with the Muskegon County Hazardous Materials team will be involved in the training. Please do not be alarmed if you see first responders and military vehicles in the airport perimeter
