Second party sought in connection with shooting now in custody
 
On May 15, 2018 Marietta Detectives and Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigations Safe Streets Gang Task Force located and arrested Je’Marquise Wright in connection with the murder of Tyon Gorman.
 
Multiple warrants have been secured against seventeen-year-old Je’Marquise Wright of Marietta.  Charges are as follows:
Warrant # 18-W-4029 Murder (F), Aggravated Battery (F), Aggravated Assault Intent to Murder (F).
Warrant # 18-W-4030 Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention (F).
 
During his apprehension, Wright had multiple weapons and narcotics in his possession.  Additional charges are pending.
 
We appreciate the public’s assistance locating Wright and believe we now have all the involved parties in custody.  Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is urged to contact Marietta Police Detectives direct or call Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.

Shooter in custody, additional suspect wanted for questioning

On May 1, 2018 Marietta Detectives secured warrant # 18-W-4028 charging eighteen-year-old Mekhi Hilali with Murder (F), Aggravated Battery (F), Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Crime (F) and Aggravated Assault Intent to Murder (F).

On the afternoon of May 2, 2018 Hilali was taken into custody by Marietta Police Detectives.  Hilali was subsequently booked into the Cobb Adult Detention Center.

One additional person, seventeen-year-old Je’marquis Wright is wanted for questioning relating to similar charges in this incident (photo attached).  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Wright is urged to contact Marietta Police Detectives direct or call Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.

DATE: April 27, 2018
Shooting at 1750 Bells Ferry Road
 
At approximately 6:22 PM 911 operators dispatched Marietta Police, Marietta Fire and Metro Ambulance to a report of someone shot in the parking lot of 1750 Bells Ferry Road.  Upon arrival, Officers found one black male laying on the ground in front of the businesses at 1750 Bells Ferry Road.  The male, later identified as 19-year-old Tyon Demeko Gorman, appeared to have been shot at least one time.  Goreman was rushed to Kennestone Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.  
 
A white vehicle with a rear spoiler was observed leaving the area, heading North on Bells Ferry Road.
