Advisory

A line of intense thunderstorms is on track to move into the region from the northwest between 4 PM and 8 PM

Until 2 AM EDT Wednesday

* A line of intense thunderstorms is on track to move into the
region from the northwest between 4 PM and 8 PM, continuing into
this evening. There are indications that storms may repeatedly
move or train over the same areas, especially this evening.
Localized rainfall of one to three inches is likely where this
occurs. Combined with the rainfall received this past weekend,
this may lead to a few instances of flash flooding.

* The areas at greatest risk are poor-drainage and urban locals,
where rapid runoff may cause localized flash flooding. Quickly
responding creeks and streams may also experience flooding in
areas that receive the heaviest rainfall. In addition, storms
are expected to move through the area during and just after the
evening commute. Motorists should be prepared for torrential
downpours and potential flooding as the storms move through.
