Incident: Death investigation

Location of Incident: 1400 block of 40th St.

Synopsis:
Today at approx. 0959 Officers from the Emeryville police Department and Emergency Medical professionals from the Alameda County Fire Department and Paramedics Plus responded to a business in the 1400 block of 40th St. on the report of a person on the roof at the location.

Just prior to the arrival of emergency personnel the subject fell from the roof landing on the sidewalk below. Emergency Medical Personnel provided immediate medical aide. The subject who fell subsequently succumbed to their injuries while on scene. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office responded and took possession of the deceased. The name of the decedent is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances associated with this incident at this point of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Emeryville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section at (510) 596-3700.
