Attempted kidnapping reported to have occurred near high school


On Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at about 3:15PM an alleged attempted kidnapping occurred in Morgan Hill.

A 15-year-old male juvenile reported that he was walking home from Sobrato High School located at 401 Burnett Avenue in Morgan Hill. As he was walking westbound on Burnett Avenue on the south side of the street, he was approached from behind by an adult male. The male grabbed the juvenile, but the juvenile was able to fight off the assailant and ran to a nearby relative’s house.

The male perpetrator was reported to be Caucasian, light skinned, about 6’4” tall with wavy hair and a thin-build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and may have been associated to a black mid-2000’s Ford sedan which had been parked on the street, nearby.

The Morgan Hill Police Department was notified of this incident on Friday, May 11th, 2018 and began investigating.
