#034-37 Hit and Run Collisions/DUI Arrest
Officers responded to multiple hit and run property damage collision reports involving a Toyota Tundra near the center of town.  A community member followed the vehicle and directed officers to Paseo Padre Parkway near Sailway Dr. where the suspect vehicle stopped.  Officers contacted the driver and he was arrested for DUI as well as for several hit and run collisions.  Due to the extent of this incident, it was investigated by Traffic Officers Gregory, Burch, and Hartman.  This was the driver’s 5th DUI arrest and he is currently on active probation for the same.  Several hours later, while at one of our local hospitals for a blood draw, the suspect attempted to escape.  Additional charges to follow.

#045 DUI Arrest
Officers responded to a collision on Creekwood where a vehicle struck a parked car.  The male driver was arrested for DUI.  Investigated by Traffic Officer Burch.

Thefts and Auto Burglaries
Swing shift officers investigated a petty theft at Tilly’s and the Nordstrom Rack (grab and run), auto burglaries in the parking lot closest to Dick’s Sporting Goods and locker thefts at City Sports.

#005 Armed Robbery
Officer Latimer investigated a robbery at Lowes.  When a credit card was declined a suspect showed the cashier a gun in his waistband and told him to step away.  The suspect is described as a Pacific Islander male in his 30’s, 6’ tall, 300lbs, with tribal tattoos on his arm.  He was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.  He was also missing his front teeth.
