Afternoon St. Helena Island roadway shooting under investigation. Sheriff's Office seeks information from public. 
At approximately 4:00 today, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of two black vehicles being driven recklessly—one following the other—traveling north on Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island. It was further reported that the driver of the lead vehicle was firing a handgun through the sunroof at the vehicle following behind. Two vehicles that happened to be traveling in the area at the time were struck with bullets, fortunately no one was injured.
Through witness interviews Sheriff's Office deputies learned that the two black vehicles turned off onto Folly Road from Sea Island Parkway. Deputies searched the area, but neither the vehicles nor the drivers/occupants were located. The Sheriff's Office seeks information from the public on the identities of the subjects involved.
