On May 9, 2018, at approximately 2:30 am, MBPD officers responded to a commercial burglary which had just occurred in the 1000 block of Manhattan Avenue.  The officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle and located it leaving the city.  When officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, the driver accelerated away from the officers.  After a brief pursuit, MBPD officers were able to stop the suepect vehicle near Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Crenshaw Blvd.  The driver was apprehended but the passenger was able to get away (for now).  Thousands of dollars of stolen property was recovered from the suspect vehicle.  Great job by our graveyard officers!
