A Loma Linda woman is arrested for child cruelty

SUSPECT(S): Luz Trejo, 32 years old, Loma Linda
SUMMARY: Central Station has a dedicated Child and Adult Protective Services Deputy who investigates allegations of child and elder abuse. In April 2018, the deputy began an investigation on a referral from Child and Family Services of the physical abuse of a 14-year-old female victim. The deputy identified the suspect, Luz Trejo, a family member of the victims.
Deputies interviewed the victim and gathered evidence which confirmed the victim sustained traumatic injuries due to the physical abuse. Trejo was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 273d(a) Child Cruelty. Trejo posted bail and was released from custody. Trejo’s two children have been removed from the home and are currently under the care of Family and Child Services.
