Expected Traffic Congestion May 19 & 20 Due To SSU Graduation 
The Sonoma State University 2018 Commencement Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 and Sunday, May 20, 2019, at 8:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 5:00 pm. The ceremonies will draw about 12,000 people to SSU throughout the weekend. Traffic delays are expected beginning around 10:30 am, 3:30 pm, and 7:30 pm with heavy traffic congestion lasting about 30 minutes on the following local roadways:
-- East Cotati Avenue from Petaluma Hill Road to Highway 101
-- Rohnert Park Expressway from Petaluma Hill Road to Highway 101
-- Petaluma Hill Road from Adobe Road to Snyder Lane
Sonoma State University Police will monitor traffic flow on Rohnert Park Expressway and East Cotati Avenue fronting SSU, and provide traffic control as needed.
