Heavy Police Presence in the 500 BLK of Elmore St
At approximately 11:53 AM, officers responded to N. Maple Ave/Elmore St for a report of shots fired. In the investigation, they learned several individuals were involved in a disturbance that originated at a residence in the 800 BLK of Elmore St. In canvasing the area, officers located a spent shell casing in the 500 BLK of Elmore St.
The surrounding schools were temporarily put on lock down to ensure the safety of all students and staff. The lockdowns have since been lifted. We are working with the Green Bay Area School district to ensure they have the most current information and give updates accordingly.
The investigation continues as officers and the forensic unit canvas the area and collect any and all evidence. In the initial stages of the investigation, officers believe that this is not a random act. But this disturbance was between groups of individuals that know each other.
