Rafael Curiel of Grand Terrace arrested after being found in possession of suspected methamphetamine & paraphernalia

LOCATION: Michigan Ave / Cardinal Ct., Grand Terrace
SUSPECT: Rafael Curiel, 47-year-old resident of Grand Terrace
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, May 3rd, at approximately 10:25 pm, Deputy A. Lopez initiated a traffic stop for vehicle code violations; the driver was identified as Rafael Curiel. While speaking to Curiel, Deputy Lopez saw an open container of beer between the driver and passenger seat. Curiel was asked to exit the vehicle. During a search of the car approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found. The methamphetamine was individually packaged indicating they were for sale. Curiel was arrested without incident, transported and booked him into the Central Detention Center for violation of H.S. 11378 Possession for Sales.
