Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on the 5000 block of Clara Street, in the city of Cudahy, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 9:47 P.M.
 
A deputy from East Los Angeles Sheriff’s station was patrolling the area when he was flagged down by a citizen regarding a gunshot victim at the location. He responded to the parking lot of a bar and observed the victim laying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the body.
 
Investigators learned that the victim was standing in the parking lot when gunshots were heard coming from a vehicle. After the shooting, the suspect vehicle, a sedan, fled the location in an unknown direction.
 
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
The victim is described as a male Hispanic, 53 years of age.
 
Information detectives received indicate the shooting appears to be gang related.
 
There is no further information at this time and the investigation is on-going.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are responding to the 5000 block of Clara Street in the city of Cudahy to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.

The male adult was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

There is no further information at this time, and the investigation is on-going.
