SUMMARY:
On Friday, May 4, 2018 Central Station deputies responded to 911 call for service at the 21000 block of Walnut Avenue in the city of Grand Terrace. An adult female victim called 911 several times from a cell phone, she was heard crying and asked the dispatcher for help. Deputies arrived at the location and confirmed the victim was in the home with her boyfriend, Henry Barrigan who was threatening to hurt her and refused to let her leave the residence. Deputies tried to enter the residence, but they could not enter because the house was barricaded.
Due to safety concerns for the victim, deputies and neighborhood, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department - Specialized Enforcement Detail responded to the location. Tactical teams were unsuccessful in communicating with Barrigan and the victim. The tactical teams used specialized equipment to enter the residence and get the victim to safety. The victim is pregnant and sustained a fracture to her nose along with abrasions to her face, and she was taken to a local area hospital for treatment.
Barrigan was arrested inside the residence, and booked at the Central Detention Center on two felonies, PC 207- Kidnapping, and PC 273.5 Corporal Injury to Spouse or Cohabitant.
