The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Northeastern Cass County in west central Missouri... Southern Ray County in west central Missouri... Southwestern Carroll County in north central Missouri... Lafayette County in west central Missouri... Eastern Jackson County in west central Missouri... Northern Johnson County in west central Missouri...

* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 943 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located along a line extending from near Buckner to near Blue Springs to near Grain Valley to Baldwin Park, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... Independence, Blue Springs, Warrensburg, Grain Valley, Pleasant Hill, Oak Grove, Richmond, Odessa, Greenwood, Higginsville, Lexington, Buckner, Concordia, Lake Lotawana, Lone Jack, Orrick, Wellington, Lake Tapawingo, Norborne and Hardin.
