Law Enforcement will be carrying the Flame of Hope, from County line to County line.

Officers will began this route at the McDowell-Rutherford County line to the Rutherford- Cleveland County Line, the route is approximately 31 miles.

Officers from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Lure Police Department, Rutherfordton Police Department, Spindale Police Department, Forest City Police Department, Homeland Security, Wildlife, Probation & Parole, Rutherfordton Fire Department, NCSHP will be participating in getting the Flame of Hope across the county.

This will be taking place on Friday May 4th 2018 beginning at 8:00am.

If you are traveling the road ways through the county on Friday please be mindful of the runners and be patient as traffic may be moving slower due to this.
