On May 2nd, 2018 Narcotics Detectives and Interdiction Officers with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office along with an Investigator with Homeland Security in cooperation with North Carolina Probation and Parole conducted a search of 146 Brooklyn Road, Forest City, NC.
During that search a Smith and Wesson 40 caliber handgun, a Winchester 12 gauge shotgun, and a SKS rifle were located and seized.
David Bryan Hawkins, a convicted felon, of 146 Brooklyn Road, Forest City, NC was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession of Firearm by Felon and one count of Alter/Remove Gun Serial Number and placed under a Secured Bond of $30,000.00.
Mr. Hawkins is also facing a charge of Felony Probation Violation.
