Drunken driver arrested after three-car traffic collision left one dead
DRUNKEN DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER THREE-CAR TRAFFIC COLLISION LEFT ONE DEAD
COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD) arrested a drunken driver today after a three-car traffic collision left one man dead.
At approximately 12:23 a.m., CMPD officers responded to Mesa Drive and Santa Ana Avenue regarding a traffic collision involving three vehicles. One of the drivers, 23-year-old Tustin resident Enrique Orlando Marquez, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another driver, Kimberly Rene Martin, 24, Costa Mesa, was arrested for DUI. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threating injuries.
A third driver was uninjured.
The Costa Mesa Police Major Accident Investigation Team was activated at the scene.
