DUARTE WEEKLY CRIME BLOTTER April 22 - April 28, 2018.

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of April 22 – April 28, 2018
 
April 22, 2018

  • No significant activity. 
 
April 24, 2018
  • No significant activity.   
 
April 25, 2018
  • Deputies were patrolling the 1900 block of Atlin Street, when they saw a male adult who matched the description of a suspect from a vandalism call earlier in the day.  During the investigation, the suspect was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics, narcotic paraphernalia and had a felony warrant out for his arrest.  The suspect was arrested without incident.        
 
April 26, 2018
  • A Grand Theft was reported in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue.  The victim placed his I-phone for sell on the internet.  An offer was received and the victim met the two suspects on Highland Avenue.  When the suspects paid the victim, the victim realized the money was counterfeit, however, one of the suspects had already ran off with the phone.  A containment was established for the two suspects.  One suspect was located and detained.  After further investigation, he was arrested.  The second suspect was not located and remains outstanding.
 
April 27, 2018
  • No significant activity.    
 
April 28, 2018
  • Deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call in the 1300 block of StarHaven Street.  A male adult and female adult had pulled up in front of the victim’s home and vandalized their car with a golf club.  When the victim’s exited the home, a physical altercation ensued, with the male suspect pointing a handgun at the female victim.  When the male victim intervened, the suspects ran to their vehicle and drove away.  After further investigation, the male suspect was located and taken into custody.  The investigation is on-going. 
  • A Commercial Burglary was reported at 1335 Huntington Drive (Rite Aid).  Unknown suspect(s) shattered the front door glass windows and made entry into the business.  Once inside, they damaged the metal roll up door to the pharmacy, however, it doesn’t appear they made entry.  No medication was reported missing.

  • Deputies arrested an adult male for possession of a controlled substance, an adult male for vandalism, an an adult male for possession of illegal narcotic paraphernalia and an adult male on an outstanding warrant.
 
April 26, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for grand theft, an adult male for spousal assault and an adult male for possession of a controlled substance. 
 
April 27, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for public intoxication.
 
April 28, 2018
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for assault with a deadly weapon.
